📚 Understanding Streak Signal Tracking
📈 Losing Streak Picks (Negative Streaks)
These are stocks that have closed down for multiple consecutive days. Historically, stocks on big losing streaks tend to bounce back due to mean reversion.
- More negative = bigger losing streak
- Example: -4 means 4 consecutive down days
- We expect these to go UP
📉 Winning Streak Picks (Positive Streaks)
These are stocks that have closed up for multiple consecutive days. Historically, extended winning streaks often precede pullbacks.
- More positive = bigger winning streak
- Example: +5 means 5 consecutive up days
- We expect these to go DOWN
🔥 Why Streaks Work as Signals
Streaks capture short-term momentum exhaustion. When a stock moves in one direction for many days, it often becomes extended and due for a reversal. This is the essence of mean reversion trading. The historical trade count shows how many times this exact streak has occurred before.
